HHCC Senior Code of Conduct


H.H.C.C. has adopted  the following code of conduct as specified by the Essex County Cricket Board and expects all players & officials to abide by it:

  • The Code of Conduct applies to any match played by this Club.
  • The Club accepts responsibility for the behaviour of its players & officials and will take any necessary disciplinary action against any individual who fails to comply with this Code.
  • Players will observe the highest standards of etiquette,sportsmanship,behaviour and dress,both on and off the field of play in keeping with the dignity and best traditions of the game and this Club.
  • The Club will not tolerate intimidation,aggressive behaviour or deliberate distraction of opponents.
  • The Club expects all Captains and Team Managers to exercise suitable control over their teams.
  • The Club will not accept any dissent towards Umpires or their decisions.
  • Players should notify their Team Captain or Manager at the earliest opportunity if they become unavailable after selection.
  • All players should arrive promptly at the stated meeting time/place.
  • Players should contact their Team Captain or Manager in the event of bad weather etc.affecting the playing of a match.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS CODE OF CODUCT WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION BEING TAKEN BY THE CLUB COMMITTEE



Junior Cricket Code of Conduct


As a junior member of HHCC you are expected to abide by the following Junior Code of Conduct:

  • All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
  • All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
  • Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
  • Members must wear suitable kit for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach/team manager.
  • Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.
  • Junior members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions.
  • Junior members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club.
